Jumped into the hobby back in 2024, completely green. I've never had aquariums, fresh or salt, so tried to keep my first tank budget friendly. Hob equipment, knockoff brands, no crazy controller or automated setups. Wasn't 100% sure I'd be able to succeed with all the horror stories I had about reef tanks being impossible. Fast-forward a few years and here we are. A bunch of learning, countless mistakes, some fish and coral deaths, but a tank that's full.
