Installed skimmer but it’s working too efficiently, overflowing - prb from residue. Anyway, draining into filter floss so hope to clean this up.

Idiotic me — the riser was loose. All done and working again! This took awhile but very therapeutic to get this gunk cleaned up!!!

Sorry but I need to master SPS first before attempting to try some softies! I’ve heard that patience is also a virtue in this hobby? Besides, this tank already has a GEO CaRx and an Avast Marine K2 installed for maximum SPS growth and stability. It will be ashamed to rip all of that out to upgrade to a softies tank?

Gone skimmerless! Why? Two words: boredom and lazy. I’m sick & tired of cleaning the skimmer cup so bought another Deltec VF8000 fleece roller for this tank! 😎

Goal for this tank: SPS dominant, low to zero maintenance! WC: none, just like the last 6 years Filter fleece: order in bulk, same as the 550gal CaRx: super stable kalk/alk, ordered the new Kamoer STP3 Kalk: K2 is installed but not planning to use it, too much work! NO3: vodka PO4: Phosphat-E That’s it — just let it grow! I’ve pity a few Digitata’s and acros from the frag tank already. So far so good…will add more SPS frags this week.

My son 3D printed the custom roller last night so we are up and running with the giant fleece roller. The kitchen tank is now completely silent!!! 😇 I need to tidy up the dosing lines though. It’s a mess.

Major reset of the 150gal cube. Removed more rocks and LPS to make room for SPS. I like the new aquascape better — way more zero space for enhanced flow. Starting to populate with SPS frags this week.

The Deltec Fleece Roller is working like a champ! I’m not seeing a lot of detritus flying around anymore.

Spent hours removing the monticap on the glass — never do that again!!! They started to grow onto the MP40s, choking the pump. Oh yeah, took the opportunity to clean those 3 MP40s’ wet sides, good for another year! 😀

More frags made it to the Kitchen Kube tank.

I’ve moved one of the MP40s to the bottom corner last night to kick up all the detritus. The fleece roller is working overtime but it will be a lot cleaner BB tank going forward!
