I scored big today - got 2 super petite Stripeys! 😁I was so tempted by those little guys. If I had some water mixed up already, I probably would’ve bought one. It was nice chatting with everyone and thanks to all who organized the trip.

@BackbayReef wrote: Nice to finally meet @janiners305 & Chris - you guys are coral nerds! Looks like you guys scored some nice corals as well?It was nice to finally meet you as well!! Actually the only coral we walked out with was an orange splatter fungia plate. We only grabbed that, a couple magma wrasses and some snails for our system. The rest of what we got today was for a friend of ours. And thank you, @Ndrwater for setting up today! You’re the best! 😅
@BackbayReef wrote: Fish & coral acclimation - this topic comes up from time to time. For fish: I usually put the newly acquired fish & original water in a 5gal bucket with an airstone. Then just add tank water to the bucket within an hour. The goal is to slowly bring the LFS’ water from 1.019SG (typically) to my 1.026SG. I used to drip using a Kamoer but that took 3-4hrs. For corals: just a quick dip and goes straight to the frag tank. I don’t typically buy corals from LFS/wholesalers anyway - prefer to buy corals from reefers’ established tank, much safer. What do you guys do?Threw all mine in a 5g bucket and just added tank water every 10 mins and 30 mins later I throw them all in. So far so good 😀 I might be impatient but it works for me 😎
