Low budget 40 gallon mixed reef - 3 years

Besides, it’s much simpler with just one doser. I’m going to switch to that on my 65gal when I deplete my current container. I might jump back as well once mine runs out
@BackbayReef so I had to do it just so I knew. Looks like afr might actually be a cheaper option if it was a straight up afr vs balling + trace, no additional supplements to the afr. Their site says afr includes trace, but if you add those with it then yes it would skyrocket the cost. I'm coming up with $0.27/day afr and $0.34/day balling. My math could be screwed up as it's early and I haven't had coffee yet.

Oh man, are you asking me to geek out right now with numbers, because i will? If you are, I'll make some assumptions and throw it into excel and run the numbers. I ended up switching just because I didn't have the "perfect" tank using each part equally. So I was having to supplement afr with part b for alk.
Using TM A, B, C and A-, K+ for my tank at the moment. Considering going back to AFR, easier and felt like I had better growth.
Congrats!!!
Very nice! I feel like having a 3d printer in this hobby is a great tool. Get to print/design things that help solve problems.
Oh ya, will definitely start a build thread for it! Should be resealing the tank here in the next few weeks.
I'm excited to be here. Will definitely pick everyone's brain, always looking for new things to learn.
