The axial corallites are pretty unique to that group, so time will tell. Looks cool though. Yes it was from Rita’s. I snagged the baby chunk that probably broke off the larger colony. The more I research it the more I’m leaning on humillis as well.

I know 3 other people got it. How’s the baby stripey doing?

Way more open and I bet it makes the tank look bigger. At least that’s how I feel about mine. I’m glad I did it though made me like looking at the tank again instead of staring at a huge rock wall.

I went through 3 tubes of putty and 3 reef glues and threw away a whole bin of just broken pieces which kinda sucked cause I watched these little guys grow and now it’s like starting all over. I guess I have to get more pieces next weekend 🤷🏼♂️😎
Today did a 10g water change on the nem tank. Topped off the 20g Reservoir, cleaned the skimmer, calibrated the ph probe, added some Rowaphos and changed all mechanical filtration

The Nem/clown fish tank at AOP got me hooked. It was just so cool to see hundreds of clowns and anemones all together. It inspired me to want to do something similar in my house. Now I have the 40g cube nem/clown tank in my living room.
Chiming in on this… would an ac vent blowing directly in a canopy increase Ph? I’ve stopped dosing sodium carbonate took the Co2 scrubber offline, reduced Kalk dosing and ph is still high. Alk stays 7.9-7.8 Been trying to figure this out for awhile. Ever since I’ve been running the AC non stop I’ve been seeing high ph swings. Might tape off part of the vent and see what happens

AC is on 24/7 in my house. I don’t like being hot. AC vent blows right inside my canopy great for running the metal halides.
