So far so good. He’s being bullied by a damsel but that will change soon…

More chemicals for the big & small reefs TM AK will be for the 550gal TM AFR will be mixed for the 150gal & 65gal

Labor Day weekend and we’ll be laboring ourselves fixing a tiny leak on the frag tank. It’s right at the bulkhead which was glued so gotta cut the whole thing apart!!!

Before - it was bad plumbing on my part and too many 90 degrees, losing flow. Besides the tiny leak, I couldn’t walk all the way in the back of the frag tank - yeah, need to go on a diet but that’s a different forum & topic.

After - easy 1” flexible tubing and we now can walk all the way in the back. If there is a leak in the future, it will be an easy fix!

Love the ease of Phosphat-E (LC-based) dosing. I was dosing 8mL/day into the fleece roller, spread across 6hrs. Since PO4 creeped up, I’ve increased the dose to 10mL/day and seeing things coming down. Considering the higher fish load (I’ve recently added 7 Lyretail Anthias and a Regal Angel) PO4 has been slowing increasing. Our goal is to make sure PO4 is under 0.10ppm. NO3: that’s also started to creep up hence we’re slowing down the flow rate on the sulfur denitrator. It’s at -200mV and should bring down NO3 in a few days. Goal is to settle under 10ppm. I’ve found SPS to color up more at this range.

Kalk: yes, I’m trying to push higher pH again. Currently, it’s pushing 5mL/min via a Kamoer. I’m trying to get max kalk by fully replenishing evap rate. Looks like the ATO is still running twice / day so I can theoretically run more. Also, Kalk needs to be under 9dKH while we do this.

Quick update - things are growing but slower than I would like though.

Looking good! But isn’t that how it always happens? We always want the instant gratification of large colonies, and don’t have patience for anything smaller lol
