Maybe once the big guys come out with one, the AquaWiz will drop in price. I also heard the AquaWiz UI leaves a lot to be desired, maybe the next generation will be cheaper and more polished 🤞 I believe the AquaWiz also requires a third-party alk tester to set the baseline when setting up. Since it keeps track of alk based on pH changes, you need to supply the initial alk reading from a salifert test for example.Cool - me, impatient? Nah… 😇 Agreed on the UI - it’s not as polished. However, I intend to feed it to the Apex, displayed as a “pH graph”. It works on the Hydros as well. That’s all I’ll look at anyway. Will it be compelling if the price is $750, shipping & taxes included? 🧐 True - I believe one will need to calibrate with Hanna/Salifert to get it going and perhaps a monthly recalibration? What’s appealing to me — I can run every hour and no more reagents!

The math and testing isn't that hard.... it really is like a $200 product tbh

I have the Gen 4 unit; it's a little noisy, but quieter than a Trident. No reagents is a huge win.Love it - care to share your Alk graph? It would be amazing to no longer have to buy reagents and can test every hour, or two.

My friend has one and really likes it. I like the idea, but it’s still too expensive for what it Is. I just want a machine that tests once a day at the same time and that’s it. The whole testing multiple times a day is a waste and completely unnecessary for our purposes.Certainly, unless you buy the parts in bulk or find a good source, paying retail may not make it worthwhile. For example — pH probes are at least $89/each. My Trident tests 4 times a day but it’s not that accurate at times. Buying reagents do get old after awhile. I would like to graph out the Alk curve and try to keep it as stable as possible. Perhaps it’s a rate of diminishing return? Anyway, I do know several people have this device and they love it.
